Agallamh is a collaborative learning tool where students work together on core subjects. Designed primarily for mainstream classes in Irish primary schools, it is also suitable in other settings — for example, introductory material at secondary level, and non-mainstream classes. When considering suitability for students with additional needs, the key question is whether they can interact constructively with a peer. For some students this may change from day to day, so there is a solo mode too.

Our aim is to keep students working together as much as possible. When a student needs more support, or is ready for an extra challenge, the content is designed to provide that while keeping collaboration at the centre.
